Press Release

On behalf of the members of the Goole and Pocklington Conservative Association

I wish to express my congratulations to The Right Honourable Sir David Davis KCB MP on receiving his Knighthood in the 2024 New Year Honours for Public and   Political  Service.

Sir David is still the Member of Parliament for the Haltemprice & Howden Constituency until the next General Election although new Associations have been formed   locally, reflecting the Parliamentary boundary changes which will come into force on polling day.

Sir David was first elected to the House of Commons in June 1987 for the old Boothferry Constituency, then following a Boundary change was elected as the MP for   Haltemprice and Howden in May 1997.

During the past 36 years as a Member of Parliament Sir David has always served his constituents with distinction and has been a voice of reason in the House of   Commons.

Sir David is the Conservative Party Candidate for new Goole & Pocklington constituency

  Yours sincerely

  Sarah Rowe

Association Chairman
